OnSide will not only act as the advocates for improved facilities for young people, it will put in place the strategic partnerships and help secure the key arrangements for the delivery of a youth zone. This can include:
- Establish regional and national partnerships
- Identify town/city development opportunities and agree a vision and strategy for development with a local council
- Plan and implement partnership agreements for an OnSide Youth Zone
- Identify and help secure a private sector champion – a named, respected figure who will steer the project through the critical first five years (two years of development, first three years of operation)
- Secure capital funding for a youth zone development of £5-6million
- Lead a local PR campaign to secure the support necessary for the project’s success through OnSide’s Communication services
- Raise the profile of the new Youth Zone via the credibility and reputation of the OnSide ‘model’
- Recruit a representative board of directors
- Establish charitable status for the local delivery organisation
- If required, provide training for board members on governance and management arrangements
