In addition to his work as Chair of the OnSide board, Bill plays an active role in recruiting, developing and supporting the fledgling boards of the new local delivery organisations.

Jeremy Glover, Chief Executive
Jerry has driven successful operation of the Bolton Lads and Girls Club for the past thirty-one years. Under Jerry’s leadership as Chief Executive, the club established its reputation as a world-class facility and model of best practice.
In February 2010 Jerry stepped down from his role at BLGC to allow him to join OnSide as full time Chief Executive, where he leads the OnSide team in
replicating the success of the BLGC across the region.

Rob Carter,
Facilities Development & Deputy Chief Executive
Rob’s previous post at Bolton Lads and Girls Club involved both the development and delivery of projects for children and young people. He also has previous experience of commercial property transactions and construction contracts.
With Rob’s wide operational and strategic experience he provides an additional level of project management in terms of design and liaison with the professional teams, in addition to supporting Jerry’s work.

Nick Cooper, Local Engagement
Nick is a former Local Authority Principal Youth Officer with extensive knowledge and experience of strategic planning and cross-sector partnerships in the delivery of services to children and young people.
Nick’s ongoing support of the projects’ partners, stakeholders and the Young People’s Development Groups is vital in ensuring future operation of the facilities in line with local expectations and ambitions.

Adam Poyner MRICS, MBEng,
Project Manager
Adam is a Chartered Building Surveyor and Project Manager who has worked in both consultancy and client side environments.
Adam has previously worked at Associate Director level providing clients with property consultancy advice on a range of property matters across the UK and Europe. He has provided technical due diligence advice on new acquisitions (RBS/Coutts and Co brand), carried out development monitoring duties during new build projects as well as undertaking project management duties on a variety of property types through to completion.
Adam is a Project Manager in Bruntwood’s development team and is seconded to OnSide to advise on property and construction related matters. He is responsible for overseeing the delivery of each of the Youth Zones.

Helen Bond MInstF(Cert),
Partnerships And Sustainability Manager
Previously Development Manager at the University of Salford, Helen brings to OnSide expertise in fundraising, relationship management and strategic partnership development.
Helen has responsibility for OnSide’s charitable Trust and Foundation fundraising strategy and for securing Trust and Foundation revenue for the Youth Zones that will fund the core services they offer to young people. Helen is also developing strategic partnerships that will deliver targeted services and projects to young people and vulnerable adults in the Youth Zone areas.
Helen also provides support and advice to the private sector led Boards on charity governance and has responsibility for performance and impact measurements that will demonstrate to funders, donors, patrons and partners the impacts of each Youth Zone and OnSide’s investment in young people.

Rachel Jones,
Private Sector Development and Funding Manager
Rachel joined OnSide from the children’s charity Barnardo’s where she worked as Senior Account Manager for five years. Prior to this, Rachel managed projects for Habitat for Humanity International, Les Medecins sans Frontieres as well as the Red Cross and MedEquip4Kids.
Rachel is responsible for raising funds and support from the private sector for Onside, as well as supporting all the Youth Zone boards with their fundraising endeavours.

Sarah Knowles,
Administration Manager
Sarah started her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers where she qualified as a Chartered Accountant and quickly progressed to Manager level.
Sarah went on to join a Bury start-up company as Financial Controller and Operations Manager, after which she joined a local law firm as Quality Assurance Advisor and HR Manager.
Sarah joined OnSide in November as Business Manager, providing support to all members as well the Youth Zone boards; managing office systems, coordinating communications and performing the HR function for the charity.

Andy Jackson,
Volunteer and Youthwork Development Manager
Andy joined the OnSide team in June 2010. Andy was previously the Chief Executive of a vibrant and progressive youth work charity (Dreamcatchers) that works amongst the most challenging young people in the North West. He was also a Director of a small personal and professional development consultancy (Skills Into Actions Ltd) working with Teachers, Youth Workers and Health Care Professionals.
Andy is responsible for engaging volunteers in each of the areas where OnSide is setting up Youth Zones, working with the Young People's Development Groups to ensure they are fully engaged in the projects and developing the youth work approach across all the Zones.
